Solar Powered Lights FAQs

How does Solar actually work?
The sunshine by day charges the batteries and at night the power stored in those batteries is used to power the light.

Does it need to be sunny all day to get a full charge?
The battery on the solar light relies heavily on clear sun light, to get a full charge. With a full charge the lights will last up to 12 hours. With heavy clouds this could reduce the time the solar lights would work, and could potentially only give 1hr of light.

Are there spares available?
It is very unlikely that spare parts will be needed, as all lights are constructed with re-chargeable batteries which are supplied. These simply need re-charging every 4-6 months as per your instruction manual. Any parts are available direct from the manufacturer once purchased.

How do I change batteries?
Please refer to the instruction manual included in the box as all lights are different.

Where can I get batteries from?

Li-ion batteries are available directly from the manufacturer once purchased

How do I turn the light on?
Please refer to your instruction manual included in the box, as some lights have on/off switches.

I cannot get to the on/off switch?
Please refer to your instruction manual which should tell you how to change the battery and reach the relevant switch.

How long is the first charge?
Please refer to the instruction manual, but on average 3 days with full sunlight should be sufficient.

Is my light Weatherproof / Waterproof?
The entire range is designed to be weatherproof if you ensure they are sited upright and in appropriate places, according to the instruction manual. However, the lights will not withstand water jets or being immersed in water.

Is my light Salt-proof?
Your solar light unit has been designed to be salt resistant and work in coastal conditions. However it is not salt proof and will be subject to accelerated weathering.
