Q: What sort of maintenance will my deck need?
A: The timber that we use in our deck kits and decking componnents are pressure treated, which means that they have a 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay. We would using a deck stain or varnish to protect the decking from the effects of the weather which can after time cause warping and timber splitting.
Once or twice a year, preferably in the Spring, we would reccomend giving your deck a good clean with a good stiff brush or with a pressure spray.
Q: Can I personalise my deck?
A: You can customise your timber deck to your individual taste by creating different levels of decking, staining it to any colour or adding design features such as balustrades, deck panels, trellises and steps.
Q: Where can I site my deck?
A: Your deck can be sited anywhere you wish. Timber decks are extremely versatile and can be positioned anywhere there is appropriate room and suitable ground.
Q: How long will my deck last?
A: All our decking products have been pressure treated, meaning that preservative has been forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood and will last for 15+ years without treatment, we even give a 15 year guarantee on this product.
Q: Why do the deck boards need gaps between them?
A: Timber is a natural material and will expand over time. Therefore it is important to give a room for the boards to expand over time, this gap is also important as it allows for drainage.
Q: I know when my order will be delivered. Do I need to do anything?
A: Our delivery vehicles are big, and proud of it. We'll need your help in preparing the delivery site, as well as access to and from it. We will leave the product, whether it be decking, a deck kit, an arch, abour or pergola, in a safe location adjacent to the roadway, but off any public highways. Please ensure that sufficient space is cleared before delivery. We will make delivery with either a 7.5-tonne vehicle or a HIAB truck with loading arm. Please let us know if this is not possible.
Q: In what form will the products be delivered?
A: The products will arrive flat packed.

Please note: That the lead times are for estimation only. The lead times are based on working days only and exclude Weekends and Bank Holidays. On the run up to Bank Holidays, demand increases and this can affect the lead times offered.
Q: How long does the guarantee last?
A: The manufacturer's guarantee is for 10 years against rot or 15 years if you have purchased a pressure treated product.
Q: Do l need to treat it?
A: You will not need to re-treat our Pressure Treated products against Rot or Fungal Decay however we would suggest protecting your timber project against the affects of weather, using stain or varnish, helping prevent the splitting or warping of wood, giving your garden decking a longer life.
For the Dip Treated range of products, we would reccomend treating it yearly or at a minimum once every two years to optimise the life of your product.
